Meeting Planners

Working with Brian Fraser and the Jazzthink Trio is easy, enjoyable, and satisfying. We are committed to providing you with a customized keynote or seminar for your meeting or event that will leave your clients energized, engaged, and enlightened.

Brian values working closely with his clients to ensure that they get what they want from his keynotes and seminars. You can expect Brian to speak with several people prior to his presentations to discover your organization's aspirations and concerns. He prefers attending as much of a conference or event as possible. He is happy to do more than one presentation and offers the second session at a much reduced rate.

Fee:

If you would like to hire Brian and the Jazzthink Trio, and have questions about your professional investment for the meeting or event, please contact him atfraser@jazzthink.com or 604-862-6414.

A 50% deposit and a signed letter of agreement will secure your date.

The balance of the fee is due on or before the date of the presentation. Any incidental expenses (such as travel or meals) will be billed immediately following the presentation and will be due within 30 days.

Brian will discuss all expenses with the meeting planner and ensure that no unnecessary costs are incurred. He works very hard to keep all his costs to a reasonable minimum.

When working is southern British Columbia or northwest Washington State, Brian and the trio will probably drive to your event. After the first 100 kms, the mileage rate is $0.40 per km.

When working outside these locales, Brian will engage a jazz trio from your area, thereby eliminating excessive travel costs.

Travel arrangements and expenses:

Brian typically makes his own airline reservations and travels on the most reasonable fare available in economy class. He will work with your travel agent if that is preferred.

Ordinarily, the meeting planner makes the hotel arrangements. A non-smoking room is required and a hotel with an exercise facility is preferred.

Transportation from the airport can be pick up, shuttle, cab, or rental car. Brian will bill the related expenses immediately after the event.

Room set up, A/V equipment, and learning resources:

A cordless lapel microphone or headset is Brian's preferred option. A hand-held cordless mike with a stand can also work.

Brian works from a lectern, though needs some room to roam. In larger rooms, a podium or riser will help your audience's line of sight.

There also needs to be space for the trio and their equipment. In larger rooms, the three instruments will need mikes and stands.

Please arrange for the logistics organizer for the conference to deal directly with Brian so that we can ensure that the room is set up in a way that will make the presentation and discussions go as well as possible.

An LCD projector and a large screen may be used in some of the presentations. Please let Brian know in advance whether there will be a laptop computer provided and a remote. Otherwise, he will bring his own.

If you are willing to allow Brian to sell products, a 6-8 foot table is required at the back of the meeting room. We would be grateful if the host would indicate that learning resources will be available immediately following the presentation.

You will receive a copy of Brian's introduction prior to the event. Brian will bring an extra copy with him. Please assign someone who is comfortable in front of an audience to give the introduction. It would be helpful if Brian could spend a moment or two with that person prior to the presentation.

Brian will provide master copies of the customized learning tools developed exclusively for your event on an agreed date to ensure plenty of time for reproduction.

At Jazzthink, we are dedicated to making things work best for you.
